What's up with the AllAccess/Mediabase charts?

AllAccess seems to be a day behind in posting the Mediabase charts. Or at the very least they are being updated very very late in the day. Its 6 pm eastern and they still are not updated today but Mediabase itself updated right on time early this morning.

What's going on and will it be fixed?

We have been working on this issue all week. The problem is not with us, and it's not with Mediabase -- it's actually a problem with Internet itself.

Without getting too technical, when a request is made for a webpage, it takes as many as 30 "hops" across the Internet, bouncing from one server to another until it gets to the destination. Usually these hops happen in a fraction of a second.

However, what has been happening the last week is that one of these hops is timing out. The request gets halfway between us and Mediabase, and it just dies there. Neither us nor Mediabase control the servers between here and there, so our hands are kind of tied as far as resolving this quickly.

We're doing the best we can to work with Sprint (who runs the servers that are timing out) to get the issue resolved.

We're also running the import every few minutes in the hopes that it will squeak through. We have managed to eek out one import per day (out of dozens of tries) over the last few days, so keep your fingers crossed.

Thanks so much for the response. There is some data I look for that I can't get from the Mediabase chart itself and I love that I can get it from this site. Leaders, Starters etc.I hope you resolve the issue quickly.

I believe we have resolved the issues with the Mediabase import. Thanks for your patience.
